These were snapped on the set of "New York, I Love You", in which a handful of filmmakers will direct a short film with a central theme: Finding love within the five boroughs of NYC. A similar flick was released back in 2006, except shot in Paris.
NYC isn't exactly the most romantic place on earth, so it should be interesting to see what's in store. I can pretty much guarantee the following love-encountering settings:
1. Subway
2. Central Park
3. Street fair of some sort
4. Music event
According to IMDb, here are the people involved with the project:
Internationally acclaimed directors such as the Coen brothers, Alexander Payne, Gus Van Sant, Alfonso Cuaron, Wes Craven, Walter Salles, Tom Tykwer, and artists among which Elijah Wood, Juliette Binoche, Willem Dafoe, Natalie Portman, Nick Nolte, Gena Rowlands, Gérard Depardieu truly enjoyed this enjoyable and inspiring project. We now think Newyorkers need a little love before heading to China. [IMDb]
